School Events
Culture Festival

Every November, the school holds a culture festival. The event takes place on a Saturday and involves pupils, parents and local people. The pupils put on music performances, plays, and other stage performances. Local people teach traditional Japanese arts, crafts, musical intruments, dances, and so on.
Sports Festival

At the end of September we have the school sports festival. In this exciting event the children are divided into three huge teams, each composed of pupils from all six year groups. The teams compete in running relays, obstacle courses, cheer-leading contests, tug-of-war, and a great many other events. The whole school practises for the sports festival for two or three weeks, with many extra PE lessons replacing normal lessons during this period. The children and teachers completely dedicate themselves to making the event a great success.
Entrance Ceremony

The entrance ceremony is held in April at the beginning of the school year. The new first-year pupils are welcomed to the school.
Graduation Ceremony

The graduation ceremony is held in March near the end of the school year. We say good bye to the sixth-year pupils and wish them luck as they move up to the junior high school.
School Excursion

In June, all one hundred of the sixth-year pupils go on a two-day excursion to Nagasaki. In Nagasaki, they visit the A-bomb museum and the Peace Park. On their way home, they visit an amusement park for a bit of fun!
School Camp

In July, all one hundred of the fifth-year pupils stay at a local field studies centre for two days. They enjoy learning about nature and cooking their evening meal together.
Nutrition Day for Children

A group of nutritionists and local volunteers came to the school to teach the children about eating a healthy diet. They also enjoyed cooking together.
