2008-2009 School Calendar
April 7: Start of new academic year. Opening ceremony.
April 23: School excursion to Fureai Forest Park.
April 26: Special open day. Parents observe lessons. PTA general meeting.
April 30: Home visits start. Over the next two weeks, the school closes at lunch time and teachers visit the homes of their students.
June 5: School excursion to Nagasaki (Year 6 pupils). Overnight stay.
June 9: School's outdoor swimming pool opens.
July 3: School camp at field studies centre (Year 5 pupils). Overnight stay.
July 18: End of first term. Closing ceremony. Summer holiday starts.
September 2: Start of second term. Opening ceremony.
September 27: School sports festival.
October 29 & 30: Parents' Days. Parents visit the school for individual consultations with teachers.
November 11: School camp for special needs students. Overnight stay.
November 22: School culture festival.
December 24: End of second term. Closing ceremony. Winter holiday starts.
January 8: Start of third term. Opening ceremony.
March 17: Graduation ceremony for Year 6 pupils.
March 24: End of academic year. Closing ceremony. Spring holiday starts.
